Demons

Demons are 'unclean spirits' originating from the illegal union between fallen angels and humans. They are 'physically powerless’ and seek to indwell in people for physical power to act in the worldsphere. They seek oiketerion'  (habitation) desperately desiring a body, human or animal. (Gen 6:4, other Bible canons, and the Book of Encoh).

Conversly, angels appear in human form and generally in pairs. They eat with humans and even hold their hands to led them. They are powerful in physical combat. Angels do not marry and are referred to in the masculine form.

In the second book of Corinthians in chapter 12 verse 7 God identifies that use of evil spirits to teach believers spiritual lessons. Conversely Jesus said that it is the Holy Spirit that guides us into all truth. II Timothy 3:16 shows that scripture is for instruction, reproof, etc not demons or Satan.

God uses the Bible and the Holy Spirit in our hearts to teach saints. In rebellious or stubborn situations God will allow 'other (less attactive) means' for believers to learn spiritual lessons and find their way back to the truth. This principle probably emerges out of the foundational principles of the Curses and Blessings as described as 'conduct outcomes' in the Old Testament.

We need to understand also the notion of God’s permissive will as different from His directive will. For example, God ‘permitted' a messenger of Satan to create a thorn in the Apostle Paul's flesh; the reason for this was a learning paradigm to teach grace sufficiency.

The book of Job is an important message that displays God's permissive will. Similarly the Scriptures tell us that it was God who moved David 'to number the people', while elsewhere the Bible says that it was Satan. Satan directly caused David to number the people: ‘allowed' by God's permissive will. Both statements stand except that ones functionality is 'directive’ and the other ‘permissive'. Satan's activities are only by God's permissive will for people to learn certain lessons. God is not in business with Satan. God's use of Satan and demons to teach believers is a generic manifestation and by-product of the fall and mankind’s condition. This probably has its foundations in both the notions of 'Curses and Blessings’ from the Old Testament and certainly the concept of the sin giving birth to death in the New Testament.
