Centrality of Christ

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. John 1-3 ESV

The Preeminence of Christ

It is unequivocally clear that the deity and humanity of Jesus Christ, was taught both implicitly and explicitly throughout the New Testament. This foundational doctrine that Jesus Christ is the face of God on earth forms the very orthodox centre of Christianity. Jesus the Christ is God the Son, the Lord of glory.

‘Perfect God and perfect man of a rational soul and a body' (Council of Ephesus 431 AD).

Christ: The Image of the Invisible God

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.” (Colossians 1:15-17)

Christ: Before Time

"In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself.

He was present originally with God.

All things were made and came into existence through Him; and without Him was not even one thing made that has come into being.

In Him was Life, and the Life was the Light of men.

And the Light shines on in the darkness, for the darkness has never overpowered it (put it out or absorbed it or appropriated it, and is unreceptive to it)." (John 1:1-5 AMP)
